Our first visit to China - with the main goal to attend the wedding of our friends, but we also took this opportunity to get more experience of the most populated country in the world.
As the wedding was scheduled for 1st of January - it was pretty cold there. We arrived in Shanghai Pudong airport, managed to reach the railway station with a help of our friend and took the train to Changzhou. The train ride was around 2h only, as the train is traveling with the speed of 300km/h. Chinese technology rules.
Having arrived in Changzhou, we spent most of the time at our friend's house, eating local Chinese food, drinking home made Chinese wine and not being able to communicate in any language. We rode the scooters around the place, cheered with uncles, chased with almond milk and basically experienced the very China.
Note: we are fully dressed on all the photos as the heating system was available only in the bathroom, so we were spending a lot of time there :-)
There's an amusement park in Changzhou, called CC Joyland - we visited that one day, but due to freezing weather we didn't try too many attractions.
We were there on the 31st of December and we've started the first New Year's celebration at midnight - as in China it's Chinese New Year that is celebrated and not the January 1st.
And some more photos from Changzhou and our friend's place:
